The website is run by and was founded by Dr Paul S Philippou, Honorary Research Fellow in History at the University of Dundee. The vast bulk of the research was undertaken by Dr Philippou with additional research [First and Second World Wars, Suffragettes] by Ken Bruce.
A painter known for his Jacobite inspired paintings such as Prince Charles’s Entry into Edinburgh After Prestonpans. Born in 1807 at Kinclaven, Perthshire Thomas Duncan was created A.R.S.A., R.S.A. and in 1843 A.R.A. He died in Edinburgh in 1845.
